Scientific sources, licenses, and methodology

Last updated: June 2026

Climactra exclusively uses publicly available, scientific, and governmental data sources. This page lists all primary sources together with their licenses and mandatory attribution clauses.

Climactra is an internal reporting and preparation tool. Official certifications are issued exclusively by the respective certification bodies. This page has no certificate character.

Historical Reproducibility

Climactra records the factor used at the time of entry per activity (frozen-factor pattern). When a source listed on this page is updated, already calculated activities and previously issued reports remain unchanged — historical reports stay reproducible. New entries automatically use the latest available version from the update date onwards.

Methodology

All CO₂-equivalent calculations follow the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Corporate Standard (Scope 1/2/3) and the Hotel Carbon Measurement Initiative (HCMI). Inflation adjustment for spend-based Scope 3 data is performed using Eurostat HICP. F-gas emissions are calculated using IPCC AR4/AR6 GWP-100 values (AR4 for HFCs, AR6 for HFOs) — consistent with the THG-Rechner Südtirol and the Nachhaltigkeitslabel Südtirol.
